About Shailza Gaur

About Me: I am a psychologist and CBT therapist currently living and working in the UK, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood, stress, and emotional difficulties. I work with people across different life stages and backgrounds, including those navigating cultural transitions, life abroad, or feeling caught between different worlds. How I Work: My approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I integrate CBT-informed techniques, mindfulness, and creative approaches such as art therapy to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and patterns. If you’ve ever felt like things are becoming a bit too overwhelming, or noticed past experiences showing up in your present, you’re not alone. I aim to offer a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore this at your own pace. Experience: I have worked with individuals aged 17–83 from diverse ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds, supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma-related difficulties, sleep issues, and relationship challenges. I aim to provide inclusive, culturally sensitive care that respects each person’s unique experiences and identity. Working Together: I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before starting. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply need a space to talk, we can take things at your pace. My aim is to support you in making sense of your experiences, building coping strategies, and helping you feel more grounded and in control.
